Born in Washington DC and raised in Virginia, David Williams is a landscape, still-life and marine painter. His plein air, impressionist paintings are an exploration of beauty, simplified form and the textural qualities of paint.
Starting art classes at an early age, David would go on to study at the Virginia Museum Studio School and the Scottsdale Art School. He has studied with, “Sunny” Apinchapong-Yang, Camille Przewodek, Sherrie McGraw and Jove Wang.
Today, Williams makes his home in the Virginia Tidewater where he lives with artist, wife Sydney Hall and their cats, Jasper Johns and Frida Kahlo .When not traveling, Williams can often be spotted painting the forests,
rivers and tide ponds which grace the area around his home. |
